‘Dhobi Ghat’, is an upcoming bollywood movie which is directed by Kiran Rao and it is distributed by Aamir Khan Productions. The movie is scheduled to release on 21st January.
The movie is produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, starring, Aamir Khan, Prateik Babbar, Monica Dogra, Kirti Malhotra and many others. Kiran will make her debut as a director with this movie.
The movie ‘Dhobi Ghat’ get the title from a very well-known place in Mumbai of the same name. Dhobi Ghat’ is termed as the world’s leading outdoor laundry and it is very popular tourists spot among the foreigners.
In this movie, Mr. Perfectionist (Aamir Khan) plays one of the key roles as a painter. The music of this flick is composed by Gustavo Santaolalla. Dhobi Ghat had its world premiere in September 2010 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Arun (played by Aamir Khan) is an isolated and lonesome modern art painter. Shai (played by Monica Dogra) is an Indian banker who is on a tour to Mumbai. Munna (played by Prateek Babbar) is a washer man also living close to Arun and Yasmin (played by Kriti Malhotra).
The movie revolves around the life of 4 people living in Mumbai city with totally dissimilar surroundings but their lives transform when all of them interconnect with each other.
The film ‘Dhobi Ghat’ will be released without any gap for interval. According to reports, the producer-actor personally visited the owners and managers of the multiplex chains and appealed to them to screen the 95-minute long film with no intermission.
