Madhavan has put on weight and developed a paunch to portray the role of a cop in Lingusamy’s Vettai.

Madhavan is playing a new and different kind of cop role which is not performed by others in the past. He is not as soft as Kamal in Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu or stylish like Suriya in Kaakha Kaakha.

Maddy plays a lazy cop and look similar to the role he added few pounds of weight to suit the performed the character perfectly.

The comedy will be a major part of the film, as is the case with most overweight cops in movies. Along with comedy there is lot of action in the film which will be highlighting factor.

Madhavan says, “For some part of Vettai, I’m supposed to look totally unlike a cop and unfit before it all changes! I am eagerly waiting to watch the film myself and enjoyed ultimate fun doing it.

Velayudham Movie Preview

Post the success of Kaavalan, Ilayathalapathy Vijay is truly on Cloud Nine! All eyes are now on his Velayudham, directed by Jayam Raja and the film is expected to be a racy action thriller with many twist and turns.

However there are widespread speculation that the film is a remake of Nagarjuna’s Azad!

This mass entertainer stars Genelia, Hansika and Saranya Mohan, Santhanam, M.S. Bhaskar, Sathyan, Pandirajan and Sayaji Shinde in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Aascar Ravichandran and Vijay Anthony is the music composer.

According to sources, Vijay Antony has come out with some peppy mass songs that will surely become chartbusters. The film is expected to grace theatres in August and reports suggest that Tamil Nadu’s new CM J. Jayalalithaa will launch the music of this film.

The crew recently shot a massive climax sequence in and around Chennai. According to sources, director Raja is leaving no stone unturned to make it a grand climax.

Reportedly the scene involves almost 5000 artistes, 1000 vans and extras. Apart from that, a huge set has also been erected in a mill near the airport for the climax sequence.

Vijay will reportedly enact a typical Rajinikanth’s Annamalai type milkman role, who bashes baddies with the help of an investigative television reporter.

According to director Raja, Velayudham will be a non-stop rollicking mass movie with all commercial ingredients packaged to provide maximum entertainment.

The buzz is that in a bid to hit out at Vijay’s detractors, there will be a lot of punch dialogues in this film.
