Shruthi Kamal Haasan Pair With Udhayanidhi Stalin ?
There is more action in the Udhayanidhi Stalin camp on the film which will launch him as the hero. The film which is to be directed by the King of Romantic Comedies’ Rajesh has found its heroine in Shruthi Kamal Haasan.
Shruthi who was waiting for a film which is as big as her debut film ’7am Arivu’ in terms of quality and grandeur has accepted the Red Giant Films offer without a second thought.
Director Rajesh who is playing it safe this time too with a feel good romantic comedy has changed the previously suggested ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’ and has now finalised his catch phrase he created for ‘BEB’ “Nanbenda” as the title of the film.
‘Nanbenda’ will start rolling any time from now and will have all the fireworks associated with a Red Giant Film.

Sonam on Punjabi shopping spree
Fashionista Sonam Kapoor, who has been shooting for Pankaj Kapoor’s “Mausam” in Patiala, couldn’t help but go on a shopping spree.
“Last day in Patiala… bought beautiful mojris, patiala salwars, phulkari dupattas and parandas, great craftsmanship here…,” Sonam posted on Twitter.
Though she sports a lot of high-end international labels, street shopping is also quite Sonam’s cup of tea.
She laments that a lot of Indian crafts are taking a backseat.
“Local artisans are extremely talented. But a lot of the local crafts like phulkari embroidery are dying. It’s really sad because their work is so fine and beautiful.”

Chikku Bukku Movie Review – A Deviously Colorful Travelogue
Chikku Bukku is a travelogue for three-fourth of the film – feel good in fact. Starting off with ‘Pixar-like’ Animation for the title credits, Media One Global Entertainment’s and Majestic Multimedia Limited’s ‘Chikku Bukku’ promises colorful picturesque hues. Soon after the title, a song hips-hop the ‘leadster’ (not the acronym) Arya, whose RJ/DJ profession in London wins him girls – one of his two primary interests – and Facebook – the other.
Young Arya happens to carry his father’s (played by Arya himself) diary when his granny suggests him go to his father’s native place – Karaikudi – to redeem his father’s house from his creditors. Shriya comes to India from London on a different agenda. As flight schedules get canceled in the Bangalore Airport, they board a train together in the guise of a couple.
When the ‘Ticket Examiner’ finds out they are not man and wife, the two have to embark on a journey from ‘Chikmagalur’ to ‘Madurai’ and ‘Karaikudi’ for Shriya’s and Arya’s respectively. In between, a subplot of the father Arya, falling in love with a village school teacher (played by Preetha Rao), back in 1985, is read on a diary by both Arya and Shriya intermittently and the flashback happens to be poetic in parts. We find ourselves immediately comparing the past and the present. We are led to feel that the past is better than the present.
Preetha Rao puts on a pleasing performance recreating the 80’s ‘coy yet beautiful heroines’. In stark contrast, Shriya’s performance is a disappointment – a synthetic clay-modeled Genelia. The actress displays all her ineptness by blatantly copying her fellow actress. Her costumes and antics fully depicting Genelia – in long shots you might well be under the illusion that it is Genelia.
Father Arya is more matured while young Arya’s costumes set trends. Even as father Arya, his age old problem of defying the time period through his looks continues. If in Madrasapattinam, it was his designer stubble; if in Boss Engira Baskaran, it was his urban costumes for a small town guy; here it was his fashionable ‘Ray-Ban’ sunglasses he sports in the 1985 back story, again as a small town guy.
Ironically, the devious travelogue does not keep the audience engaged whereas the flashback does. After leading to a few twists that separate the couple, our heart longs for their reunion. The flashback is abruptly stopped in between to continue with the 2010 travelogue which is made easy by the editing. The editing aids the flit between the past and the present.
Finally, when the flashback draws to an end, the whole movie is almost set for a climax and a few more twists lead us to there. Also, there is another twist that awaits us on who Arya’s and Shriya’s parents are. Santhanam is once again given a huge welcome although some of his dialogues sure make the audience cringe. He is an immediate delight to any audience as he releases the pressure in the enclosed atmosphere.
The travelogue sequences, some of them, are forgivably inspired by a popular German or European film which also inspired ‘Pudhukottaiyilirundhu Saravanan’. Arya and Shriya lying on the rooftop of a bus against the original European film’s boat’, the ambience in the interiors of a bus resembling the original film’s boat and the calculation of distance between two shores of a lake which Arya decides to jump across with 92.3 kilometers speed on a Mercedes Benz car. All these sequences are part of the European film.
The film traverses across various points deviously to find a central plot and even if it is the father Arya’s reunion with Preetha Rao, the travelogue part finds prominence. The younger Arya and Shriya’s portions are enjoyable in parts. One thing that we would marvel at the end of the day is the RB Gurudev’s cinematography, which covers the vast expanses of Chikmagalur with an aesthetic touch, along with the colorful costumes of Arya and Shriya. The differentiation of the past and the present with a sepia-like tone also comes handy in alleviating the confusion, as the lead actor is the same in the two versions.
Colonial cousin’s, Hariharan and Leslie Lewis’s music is vastly inspired from the other two stalwarts AR Rahman and Harris Jayaraj and even the similarity in lyrics was slightly intriguing – ‘Mazhaiyai thaanae nesithoam’ which features in ‘Ullam Kaetkumae’, which incidentally is also an Arya starrer. However, the songs are murky too with lesser comprehension of the tune itself let alone the lyrics. The costumes of Arya and Shriya are a revelation – kind of trend setters.
The greenery and the jocose moments along the travel part are all borrowed without much originality. In the end, Chikku bukku satisfies with the resolution, the climax and the light hearted moments in the beginning, but it is the misleading central plot which makes it slightly less enjoyable.
Positives
Chikku Bukku is worth its flashback as Arya looks matured enough to play the role while Preetha Rao is lovably coy and plays her part well. But the main leitmotiv of train, as the title goes, is far-fetched and few and far between. Shriya puts up an irritating act which is one of the major let downs for the film where you may also wonder if she can act out even an easy role entrusted upon her.
Chikku Bukku is about its playful entertainment and is a Saturday evening movie. Part entertaining and part interesting, the outcome is an uneven and inconsistently devious travelogue.

Akshay surprises Lara by shooting non-stop for 20 hours
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently surprised friend Lara Dutta by shooting for almost 20 hours at a stretch for her home production in spite of having to work round the clock.
Lara approached Akshay Kumar for a cameo in her home production to which he readily agreed. The scenes required three days from the actor, however, he couldn’t comply to the schedule since his film “Tees Maar Khan” is up for release this Christmas and he is also busy shooting for his next “Desi Boyz”.
Instead he shot from 8 a.m. in the morning to 6 p.m. the next day at a stretch since he had committed to the film.
“As a friend and as an actor Akshay kept to his professional commitments. He shot for 20 hours at a stretch since he couldn’t give them the dates they required.
Lara was overwhelmed with his gesture,” said a source from the production unit.

Suriya’s Back Injury puts him to Rest
While his coveted movie Rattha Charitram has hit the theaters today, Suriya’s injury in the sets of 7aam Arivu puts him in to rest. The actor couldn’t make it to the premiere show of Rattha Charitram in Malaysia which took place on Thursday evening.
The AR Murugadoss’s flick had inflicted the injury on the actor during the filming of an important scene. Doctors suggested Suriya stay in to rest him after the injury. The actor reportedly cancelled his Malaysian trip.
It was due to the stunt scenes which required a lot of action, says the actor. His ligament at the end of the spinal cord tore which resulted in a lot of pain.
Although Suriya wanted to see his Malaysian Tamil Diaspora in the country, the actor is advised even against taking part in any film shoot for the next couple of days.

Bebo calls Shahid sexiest and Saif a bragger on KJo's show
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, Bollywood's hottest couple, have reportedly made some bold comments on the talk show Koffee with Karan.
Saifeena, as they are popularly known, will spill the beans about their love life in a forthcoming episode featuring the two and also comment on their contemporaries.
Saif and Kareena have been together since 2007 and their relationship is often the subject of much talk in the media.
The boldest statement on the episode is reportedly made by Saif, who, while describing himself, says: "I am reliable, strong and very long." The pun seems entirely intended.

Popular Tamil-Telugu actress Hansika is upset with false reports
Popular Tamil-Telugu actress Hansika Motwani, who is currently busy with the promos of ace choreographer-director-actor Prabhu Deva's directorial venture Engeyum Kadhal starring Jayam Ravi, has denied a report in an English tabloid alleging that she was seen with Prabhu Deva in a Hyderabad hotel.
The tabloid added that Hansika were spotted sharing an intimate moment with her director, when Nayantara came and blasted her in public! Some say that Prabhu Deva has grown so fond of the young actress that it has started to affect his relationship with Nayantara.
Hansika is naturally upset with these false reports being circulated by many websites and she condemned them, saying that Prabhu Deva is like elder brother to her.
How can people have such a nasty mind? I am just 19 and how could they link me with my director who I consider as my mentor and guru? He is like my elder brother and whoever is spreading such rumours is clearly out of his mind, she said to a leading website.

A cultural show by children entertained the guests.

Katrina maintains safe distance from John
Ruhail Amin, Glamsham Editorial
There was a time when Katrina and John were thick friends. It was during the making of their hit film NEW YORK that John and Katrina warmed up to each other.
The chemistry between the two was well received by the critics and the audiences alike.
But things are no longer same between Kat and John. According to reliable sources, "The chemistry between the two has turned sour.
At a recent bash, Katrina was seen maintaining a safe distance from John and it was apparent that all was not well between the two stars.
Katrina was seen mingling with everyone in the party but made sure that avoided meeting John who also did the same."
Well, though John and Kat might be heating up their cold war, we wonder how long will it last given the fact that they hold a lot of screen promise together. Any guesses?

I make films, not money: Bhansali
On the film website passionforcinema.com, under the topic, 'hot discussion for the month,' aficionados and critics vigorously joust over Sanjay Leela Bhansali's latest movie, Guzaarish. There are those who vilify him for being perpetually 'inspired'--- comparison with The Sea Inside is inevitable.
One wit writes: 'Forget euthanasia, the only way to deal with this film is through amnesia and anaesthesia'. While another makes a cruel but not in-apt reference to the milieu of his films as Bhansalipur.
Initial trade figures underwhelm. "If only he made films on a smaller budget, his movies would be profitable," is a refrain from the pundits even as UTV, producers of Guzaarish, maintain a discreet silence.
Away from the din, the dissing and the dissection, in a large, white spartan room, remarkably free of vanity-no posters of films, no photographs, no trophies-Sanjay Bhansali snuffs out a barely-smoked cigarette. One of the most beautiful set-pieces in Guzaarish shows Hrithik's character, a quadriplegic, being taken out of his home after 14 years.

Hrithik & katrina kaif longest lip lock Kiss!
Bollywood's reigning diva Katrina Kaif is all set to make her onscreen smooch debut with none other than heartthrob Hrithik Roshan .
Director Zoya Akhtar has shot a two- minute steamy kissing scene, being touted as the longest lip lock in Bollywood so far, for her upcoming biggie Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara . Hrithik and Katrina have been cast opposite each other for the first time in Zoya’s film, though the two superstars have posed for the cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine in the past.
But director Zoya is reluctant to reveal details on the kiss. “ I don’t want to discuss details because we are still shooting the film. All I can say is that whatever we have shot is integral to the plot. Everything has been filmed beautifully and the actors look great together on screen,” she says.
Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara , Zoya’s second film after Luck By Chance , also stars her brother Farhan Akhtar along with Dev D duo Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin. A large portion of the film has been shot in Spain where the unit drew the flak of animal activists when the three male actors shot a bull- running sequence. According to reports, Katrina has also done some daredevil bike stunts in the film.
While this will be Katrina’s maiden on- screen kiss, Hrithik has mastered the smooching art. He shared his first onscreen kiss with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the 2006 blockbuster Dhoom 2 and smooched Mexican beauty Barbara Mori in his dud home production Kites earlier this year. If Hrithik and Aishwarya were quite uncomfortable while doing the kissing scene for Dhoom 2 , Katrina’s condition was no different when she was informed about the kissing scene by the director.
Says a source close to Katrina: “ Initially, she was hesitant to doing the kissing scene with Hrithik. She wasn’t very enthusiastic about the idea. However, the director managed to convince her in the end.” Sources on the set of the film claim that despite her initial reluctance Katrina seemed quite comfortable kissing Hrithik when the scene was shot. The actress was very professional and co- operative all along, they add.
The kissing sequence happens at an important moment in the film where Hrithik Roshan ’s character looks into the eyes of the heroine and bids her goodbye without saying a word. It is only then that the girl realises how much she loves him and runs up to him to seal her affection with a lip lock. So far, the longest kiss on- screen was shared by Aamir Khan and Karisma Kapoor in Raja Hindustani . It lasted for about a minute.
Whether Katrina manages to strike chemistry with Hrithik in Zoya’s film remains to be seen. One thing is sure, though — they will set a new record for Hindi films when it comes to puckering up.

Shah Rukh Khan teach Sania husband some romantic lines
Recently, Shah Rukh Khan was summoned up for an unlikely request. From tennis ace Sania Mirza, no less, who wanted him to coach her shy hubby Shoaib Malik, so that he could turn a mite more romantic in real life and mouth some of those heart warming lines to her.
The trio met up at a prominent sports awards function, anchored by SRK.
States Sania in a tabloid chat, "Shah Rukh's strength is the way he talks and besides, he romances on screen in a very charming way. So, I asked him to share some tips and teach my husband some romantic lines. Of course, it was all done in good humour and SRK was pulling our leg all through the act."
A close insider states,"During the show, in an impromptu question and answer session, SRK asked Shoaib and Sania about their marriage, romance and kids. He also tried his best to get Shoaib and Sania's love story out of his mouth, but all that he got out of him was that it was an ideal example of 'love at first sight', where he proposed to Sania and she agreed instantly."
Adds the source, "Sania added that basically Shoaib speaks very little and believes that true love does not need any expression. Shah Rukh called Shoaib on stage and asked him to repeat some romantic dialogues as Sania had suggested. The three of them also danced to a dance number from 'Veer Zaara'."

5 best positions to get pregnant fast
1. The missionary position: Or man-on-top is said to be the position that's best for getting pregnant. This is because this particular position allows for the deepest possible penetration, making it possible for the sperm to get deposited closest to the cervix.
2. Raise the hips: Elevating the hips, which can be done by placing a pillow behind her, can also be helpful because this exposes the female cervix to as much semen as the male can release.
3. Doggy-style: The rear-entry position where the man enters the woman from behind is also a recommended position. In this position, sperm is also deposited closest to the cervix, thereby helping increase the chances of conception.
4. Side-by-side: You can also try having intercourse while lying side by side. This position likewise causes the most exposure of the cervix to the male sperm.
5. Orgasms: Finally, while this has nothing to do with sexual positions, there are also researches that suggest the importance of the female orgasm in conceiving. According to studies, female orgasm leads to contractions that could push sperm up into the cervix. The lesson: have fun while trying to conceive.

Baby boy for John Travolta after son's tragic death
LOS ANGELES (Reuters Life!) - Actor John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston on Tuesday announced the birth of their third child, a baby boy born nearly two years after the death of their 16-year-old son Jett.
The baby, named Benjamin, was born at a hospital in Florida on Tuesday evening weighing more than 8 lbs (3.6 kg), according to a statement from Travolta's publicist.
"John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family. Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully," the statement said.

Sydney, Nov 27(ANI): Australian fast bowler Brett Lee has said that next year's ICC Cricket World Cup in the Indian sub-continent is his focus after putting in another impressive domestic performance for New South Wales.
Lee, continuing his comeback after a six-month lay-off with an elbow injury, took 5-47 to guide the Blues to a seven-run win over Western Australia on Friday.
"I'm not playing Shield cricket, if I was going to do that I would go back and play Test cricket. The time was right for me and I possibly could have played Test cricket for another 12 months, but long-term it's going to be the best thing for me if I want to achieve my goals," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Lee, as saying.

Media One Global Entertainment Limited and Majestic Multimedia Limited have been persistently promoting ‘Chikku Bhukku’ in a regular phase. With the film scheduled to hit screens on December, the producers have created an innovative website for the film.

The speech given against Arya by Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) president V C Guhanathan at an audio launch was objected by South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA).
V C Guhanathan said the Arya in against Tamil actors in his statement.Nadigar Sangam member’s President Sarath Kumar, Secretary Radha Ravi and Treasurer Vagai Chandrasekar were surprised by the speech.
SIFAA said that the hero is very friendly with all the directors, producers and technicians in the industry.

Aadukalam Hits the Bout in Pongal
Director Vetrimaran is keenly looked upon by film enthusiasts for his next film ‘Aadukalam’ as he proved to be a director of substance, style and content in his debut film ‘Polladhavan’. Hailing from the best of schools as Balu Mahendra’s, Vetrimaran is sure to go places.
Aadukalam, which is also a Dhanush starrer, was supposed to hit the bout in December 2010. Or at least, it was reported to be by the media. Sun Pictures has come out clean, meanwhile, officially announcing that Aadukalam will release on Pongal day.
Aadukalam does not want to be ruffled by the Deepavali releases as well as does not want to make Endhiran exit theaters. Endhiran is still in business and Sun Pictures will let Endhiran stay in business.
December is also closer to the release of ‘Uthamaputhiran’ which also has Dhanush. Hence, Sun Pictures will release ‘Aadukalam’ on Pongal. Aadukalam will release on Pongal to display with cockerel anger, as it is the main theme of the film.
The triumphant trio of the yesteryear hit, “Pollathavan” is back with a bang this time. Director Vetrimaran is grateful to GVP for having made the earlier film a good launch pad for the director. GVP too does not disappoint neither the director nor the audience with the scores of this film Aadukalam. The songs are seven in number with varied synchronizations.
Yathe Yathe – is voiced by GVP himself and penned by Snehan. The song reveals feelings of the hero who falls in love, and how he describes the beauty of his lady love. The harmony of lyric with the average instruments make the song lively. Sure to be in the air for quite long time till GVP himself comes out with such a nice number soon.
Ottha Sollale – sung by Velmurugan and lyric uttered by Yegadashi, the song comes under the genre of folk-cum-kuthu. Perhaps the movie director would have thought of pleasing the audience with a light-heartened vein of the serious story. The beat is usual yet experimental on the part of GVP.

New heroine in '3 Idiots' remake
Even as the launch of '3 Idiots' remake announced for December 5 after crossing many intended and unintended snags, we hear there a the are still changes being made in the making of Tamil and Telugu versions.
Sources say that director Shankar is making lavish changes to the original script to make the film look new to south Indian audiences.
Shankar is believed to have said that the Hindi original was seen and widely liked by over a quarter of Tamil, Telugu audience and so to present the same film again one should make crucial changes to the original so that the audience see that as a new film independent of the Hindi original.
Accordingly a major change perceived to be made by Shankar is the introduction of a second heroine. Kareena Kapoor was the only heroine in Hindi and Ileana will be doing that in the remakes.
Now the news of a second heroine has generated some more interest in the film. Who will be the new girl and who will she romance with? Srikanth or Jeeva. Shankar's office is said to be busy with screen tests.
And more, as for the title, the tentative titles being considered are '3 Rascals' in Telugu and 'Moovar' in Tamil.

"The entire team is quite gung-ho about the sequel to Housefull. The script has come up pretty fabulously. God willing, Housefull 2 will be biggest 'paisa vasool' entertainer for the audience", says Sajid confidently.
Housefull stays on to be one of the top money spinners of 2010 and also the film that boasts of highest collections of an Akshay Kumar starrer. Though Sajid isn't quite pointing on any particular milestone that he has in mind for Housefull 2, he doesn't deny the fact that sequels always rake in manifold collections than the first in the installment.
